J'adore la clause de précaution à la fin du genre *si tu veux m'attaquer en justice parce que tu as merdouillé j'y suis pour rien ...*.

On sapphire crystals where the cyclops is a separate component, you can remove the cyclops by using a heat source. Some folks are successful using a regular Bic lighter, some folks have better success using a torch type lighter. Apply heat to the cyclops, especially around the base. Every second or two try to knock off the cyclops with a pair of tweezers or some other metal/stainless tool. The cyclops should come off in about 10 seconds or less. You can then remove excess bonding agent using acetone.

Be careful not to torch your bezel, you may want to just remove the bezel before you attempt it. Do not continuously torch your crystal for more than a few seconds at a time, remove the heat to test the cyclops. If the cyclops does not come off in about 10-15 seconds, stop what you are doing. Mineral glass crystals may shatter under this type of heating, and it is not recommended to use this process on acrylic crystals. Attempt the above process at your own risk.
