Bon, le lien qui parle de ces fameux trou-trous est le suivant :
http://www.newturfers.com/bin/mwf/topic_show.pl?tid=9728

La question de départ est :
"the SD and sub case has definitly changed....
no more holes between the case and the bracelet just as the new sub... "

Puis, Dave Knoll répond ceci :
"Just to keep this thread going......
.....I've heard that the new watches with the 'blind' springbar holes won't be as accurate as the older cases with the 'through' springbar holes.
Any truth to this, Ayjay? :-) :-) -:)

Et quelques heures plus tard, Ayjay répond cela :
"Dave, as usual you are absolutely correct.

Apparently the new hole-less cases have lost some structural integrity and now create a degree of oscillation within the movement, resulting in the accuracy being some 0.0076% off when compared to the old cases.

According to experts, the cases with the holes on the exterior of the lug have superior frequency modulation to offset this oscillation, and thus is the main contributing factor in the incredible accuracy of the movement.

Actually, if you put a stethoscope up to the lug-hole you can just hear a very faint whistle, which is caused by the frequency modulation escaping from the case...unlike the new cases, where this frequency continues to circulate within the movement causing the afore-mentioned instability in the movement and inaccuracy.

It is thought that the models with the old cases will be more highly sought-after now, and will command a significant price premium....particularly those that have kept their originality by having the hologram intact on the caseback."

Un grand moment de rire !

Merci Olivier et Ayjay
