Voici un classement du nombre de brevets publiés en 2001 par les grandes marques horlogères (liste non exhaustive!):
Seiko : 6007 (pas sûr que tout concerne les montres!)
Citizen : 545
Eta : 79 (beaucoup de brevets japonais, taïwanais, chinois)
Swatch Group : 67
Rolex : 18
TAG Heuer : 4
Patek Philippe : 3
Ulysse Nardin : 3
Ensuite viennent : Vacheron Constantin, Audemars-Piguet, Frédéric Piguet, Breitling, Franck Müller (2 chacun) et Blancpain, Vincent Calabrese, Ebel (1 chacun).
Certains brevets sont décomptés plusieurs fois car déposé dans plusieurs pays.
Je n'ai rien trouvé pour Jaeger-Lecoultre, IWC, Lange und söhne, Omega , et Zenith.
A noter un brevet de montre pour golfeur, déposé par les montres Antima :The invention concerns a golfer's watch comprising at least first (19) and second (21) counters designed to count respectively the number of strokes required for a golfer to putt the ball into a hole of the course and the total number of strokes played, and each comprising display means (32, 34) and means for powering (54, 56, 58, 60) and for positioning (52) the display means; control means (22, 24, 26, 28) connected to said powering means (54, 56, 58, 60) and arranged to enable the user to increment the counters and resetting them. The invention is characterised in that the control means (22, 24, 26, 28) are arranged to enable the user to decrement the first counter (19).
