une 5514 comex

une 5513 comex

un 1665 blue bezel comex(?)

et une 5513 particuliére

Originally made for Roger Moore as James Bond in "Live and Let Die" this is the specially adapted Rolex wristwatch converted from a standard 5513 Submariner. With unique saw-tooth edge bezel that was used as a rising Buzz Saw in the film where Bond (Roger Moore) used this feature to cut through the rope and escape with Solitaire (Jane Seymour) from the hoist in Kananga's lair before the villain's plans to feed them to the sharks are carried out.In addition all the relevant attachments used to create the scene which were created by the art director Syd Cain whose production design signed drawing of which the watch is shown underneath are also included. Since purchasing the watch in its original "prop" state at auction nearly three years ago we have also managed to source an exquisite example of a 5513 produced in the same quarter II.70. and have had Rolex in St James Square reassemble the watch as a working timepiece still keeping all the original pieces intact should anyone wish to restore it back to its original prop state. In June of 2002 we managed to obtain a meeting with Roger Moore and convinced him to sign in indelible ink both the case back used by the prop's and the case back used in the functional timepiece, this is accompanied with photographic evidence to substantiate this. Also included are two photographic framed stills from the film showing Bond wearing the watch and all supporting paperwork confirming this as the original watch worn by Roger Moore in the film. M
