From the photos it appeared to me that your customer have forcely pulled the strap apart. It has freying and the fine fibres are showing. The strap are not meant to be forcely pulled that way. Look at the rest of the straps that I sent you and study it . I have the same issue with some American doing the same before. If the I have checked my stock to be sure and they are OK.
I am afraid that had been done on purpose .
